TYPE OF USE

High-performance 100% synthetic ESTER engine oil inspired by competition and specially designed for gasoline or diesel engines, tuned or high-performance, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, with indirect or direct injection, operating over a wide range of engine speeds and temperatures, including severe road or racing conditions.

Suitable for gasoline and diesel engines requiring an API SP SAE 5W-40 lubricant.

The exclusive MOTUL 8100 POWER 5W-40 formula is compatible with biofuels, especially Ethanol E85, and modern exhaust after-treatment systems. It also helps protect downsized engines against LSPI, or Low Speed Pre-Ignition.

Its optimised viscosity provides an excellent balance between engine power, reliability and protection.

Provides very good compatibility with catalytic converters.

Suitable for leaded or unleaded gasoline, Ethanol, LPG, diesel and biofuels.

This oil may be unsuitable for certain engines. Always refer to the vehicle owner’s manual before use.

ESTER Technology provides outstanding oil film resistance at very high temperatures, helping maximise engine power and torque while delivering excellent wear protection.

Maintains stable oil pressure under demanding road or racing conditions.

API SP offers improved protection against LSPI in modern downsized turbocharged direct-injection gasoline engines.

The specification is fully backward compatible with API SN, API SN Plus and earlier API standards.

API SP lubricants provide excellent oxidation resistance, improved timing chain protection, enhanced engine cleanliness, anti-wear protection and strong cold-temperature performance.

MOTUL 8100 POWER 5W-40 is highly resistant to elevated temperatures, helping control oil consumption and improve engine protection.

Its SAE 5W-40 viscosity allows faster oil circulation during start-up and quicker oil pressure build-up.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Drain intervals should follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations and be adjusted according to the vehicle’s operating conditions.

MOTUL 8100 POWER 5W-40 can be mixed with synthetic or mineral oils.
