MOTUL 7100 10W-40 4T Motorcycle Engine Oil

High-performance motorcycle lubricant | Sport & Adventure | 100% Synthetic – Ester

MOTUL 7100 10W-40 4T is a fully synthetic engine oil developed for high-performance four-stroke motorcycles used on the road and off-road. It is designed to provide engine and gearbox protection during demanding sport and adventure riding.

The oil is suitable for motorcycles with or without an integrated gearbox and for those equipped with either a wet or dry clutch. It can be used in motorcycles fitted with exhaust after-treatment systems, including catalytic converters and secondary air injection, where SAE 10W-40 oil is recommended by the manufacturer.

Its synthetic base oil uses ester technology together with anti-wear additives to help reduce internal engine friction and support performance. The formulation maintains a strong oil film at high temperatures and engine speeds. Its resistance to shearing also helps protect the gearbox throughout the oil change interval.

MOTUL 7100 is formulated to support responsive engine operation, clutch grip and smooth gear changes. Its phosphorus and sulphur content is optimised for catalyst operation. The oil meets the API SP standard for properties including oxidation stability, deposit control and compatibility with emissions systems. It also meets JASO MA2 (2023), which specifies clutch friction performance for four-stroke motorcycle oils.

Other potential applications include ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, personal watercraft and snowmobiles, provided the manufacturer recommends SAE 10W-40 oil and the applicable specifications.
