Directions for Use
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the vehicle’s servicing procedures. This treatment involves removing engine components and should be carried out by a competent person.
-
Warm the engine to 50–60°C, then switch it off.
-
For petrol engines, remove the ignition coils and carefully unscrew the spark plugs. For diesel engines, carefully remove the glow plugs.
-
Position the pistons at the middle of their stroke.
-
Using the supplied hose, apply the active foam through the spark plug or glow plug openings as directed by the manufacturer.
-
Leave the product to work for 5 minutes to dissolve carbon deposits. Repeat the application process three times, as specified in the supplied instructions.
-
Before cranking, ensure the fuel and ignition systems are disabled according to the vehicle’s servicing procedure. Cover the openings with a suitable absorbent cloth to catch expelled product.
-
Remove residual cleaner according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The supplied directions specify operating the starter for approximately 30 seconds; observe the vehicle manufacturer’s starter operating limits and allow cooling intervals where required. Do not crank or start the engine with liquid remaining in the cylinders.
-
Refit the spark plugs and ignition coils, or the glow plugs on diesel engines, following the vehicle manufacturer’s tightening specifications. Restore any disconnected systems.
-
Start the engine and allow it to run for 5–10 minutes in a well-ventilated area. Temporary heavy exhaust smoke and a distinctive smell may occur while residual cleaner clears.
-
Changing the engine oil and filter after treatment is recommended.
